Director of Estates

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Director of Estates to lead the strategic and operational management of our College's estate. This pivotal role involves overseeing the development, maintenance, and efficient operation of all buildings, facilities, and grounds.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive estates strategy that aligns with the College's strategic goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the management of all College buildings, facilities, and grounds, ensuring they are safe, sustainable, and meet the needs of our diverse community.
  • Lead a team of estates professionals to deliver high-quality services and support the College's educational mission.
  • Manage budgets and resources effectively to ensure the efficient operation of the College's estate.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including staff, students, and external partners.

Requirements

  • A relevant degree in estates management, facilities management, construction, or a related field.
  • Significant experience in a senior estates management role, preferably within an educational setting.
  • Professional membership of a relevant body (e.g., RICS, IWFM).
  • Experience with modern building management systems and technologies.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
