About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Area Camden. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to young people in our residential settings.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide emotional and social support to young people, helping them to develop meaningful relationships and become involved in their local communities.
  • Encourage and enable each young person to make positive life choices and achieve their full potential.
  • Responsible for recording and reporting on young people's progress, including daily and monthly updates, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Work closely with the management team, health professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure the best possible outcomes for young people.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, including meal preparation, domestic duties, and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
Requirements
  • Experience working in the care sector or residential care, with a passion for supporting vulnerable young people.
  • Ability to engage with young people in a positive and proactive manner, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, with a positive and respectful attitude.
  • Hold a relevant qualification or be committed to undertaking a Level Diploma for Residential Childcare.
  • Willingness to work some Bank Holidays and flexible hours, including sleep-ins and waking nights.
