Mental Health Specialist Practitioner

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Mental Health Specialist Practitioner to join our team at Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a deep understanding of mental health services and a commitment to delivering high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement effective Peer Support Worker roles that align with trust-wide policies and practices.
- Provide guidance and support to Peer Support Workers and Senior Peer Support Workers, ensuring the Recovery agenda is maintained across all sites.
- Foster and maintain service user and carer involvement in Hillingdon, promoting a collaborative approach to mental health care.
- Contribute to the development of the Recovery and Wellbeing College, delivering courses and workshops as necessary to support service users.
- Deliver individualised lived experience specialist support or lead peer groups for individuals with mental health difficulties.
- Coordinate and facilitate Team Preparation sessions for teams recruiting new Peer Support Workers or Lived Experience Practitioners.
- Ensure all Peer Support Workers and Lived Experience Practitioners have access to up-to-date knowledge of community resources to support recovery and social inclusion.
- Participate in regular supervision, mandatory training, and team meetings to ensure ongoing professional development.
- Engage in self-reflective practices and commit to continuous personal and professional growth.
- Work in accordance with the Trust\'s values, aims, and objectives.
- Serve as an ambassador for the Trust, promoting a positive reputation with external agencies and partner organisations.
- Promote equality, diversity, and individual human rights, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all.
- Maintain accurate records and provide information for monitoring and evaluation, ensuring a high level of personal organisation.
- Prioritise personal wellbeing and seek support if work-life balance issues arise, maintaining a healthy and productive work environment.
