We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Mental Health Specialist Practitioner to join our team at Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust. Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective Peer Support Worker roles that align with trust-wide policies and practices.
  • Provide guidance and support to Peer Support Workers and Senior Peer Support Workers, ensuring the Recovery agenda is maintained across all sites.
  • Foster and maintain service user and carer involvement in Hillingdon, promoting a collaborative approach to mental health care.
  • Contribute to the development of the Recovery and Wellbeing College, delivering courses and workshops as necessary to support service users.
  • Deliver individualised lived experience specialist support or lead peer groups for individuals with mental health difficulties.
  • Coordinate and facilitate Team Preparation sessions for teams recruiting new Peer Support Workers or Lived Experience Practitioners.
  • Ensure all Peer Support Workers and Lived Experience Practitioners have access to up-to-date knowledge of community resources to support recovery and social inclusion.
  • Participate in regular supervision, mandatory training, and team meetings to ensure ongoing professional development.
  • Engage in self-reflective practices and commit to continuous personal and professional growth.
  • Work in accordance with the Trust\'s values, aims, and objectives.
