Job Title: IT Security Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced IT Security Engineer to join our team at Elliot Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing technology risk, developing and implementing security policies, and conducting security audits and risk assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and advise on information security issues related to our systems and workflows.
  • Coordinate and execute IT security projects, including data loss prevention and business continuity planning.
  • Develop and publish information security policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Conduct company-wide data classification assessments and security audits.
  • Collaborate with IT management, the Legal department, and other stakeholders to manage security vulnerabilities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, business, or public administration.
  • Advanced certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC are highly preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of progressive experience in computing and information security.
  • Proficiency in security policy development, network penetration testing, and application vulnerability assessments.
  • Strong knowledge of information security standards and regulations, including ISO/IEC 27001 & 27002, HIPAA, FERPA, PCI, and GDPR.

Personal Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to advise IT management and senior executives.
  • Ability to conduct security research and stay informed of the latest security issues.
  • Strong collaborative skills to work with various departments within the company.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
