**Role Overview**

This position is for a Neonatal Consultant to work within our team at University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust. The post holder will participate in the day-time duties on the neonatal unit, postnatal wards, TCU and Delivery suite, Neonatal Clinics and in the neonatal on-call rota.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Participate in the day-time duties on the neonatal unit, postnatal wards, TCU and Delivery suite.
  2. Conduct Neonatal Clinics.
  3. Participate in the neonatal on-call rota.
  4. Provide training and teaching to SpR, medical students and ANNP.
  5. Support maternity and neonatal assurance meetings.
  6. Support NCEPOD and HSIB investigations.

Requirements

  • Fully GMC registered with MRCPCH or equivalent CCT in Neonatal Medicine or Paediatrician with special interest in neonates.
  • Basic management skills.
  • NLS instructor.
  • Experience in other sub-specialist area directly associated with neonatal practice.
  • Training in teaching/education.
  • Involvement in national/regional audit activity.
