Specialist Physiotherapist for Pelvic Health

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Physiotherapist to join our Pelvic Health team at University Hospitals Dorset. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing evidence-based, specialist care to perinatal, urogynecology, male, and colorectal patients.
Main Duties and Responsibilities- Provide specialist care to patients with pelvic floor dysfunction, including perinatal, urogynecology, male, and colorectal conditions.
- Contribute to key aspects of the service, including mentoring of Band 5 and students, and supporting the wider Pelvic Health Physiotherapy team.
- Promote and deliver a high-quality, evidence-based, customer-focused service, working within national and local guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with consultants, midwives, and other medical practitioners to provide innovative solutions for new services.
- Lead patient groups, both in person and virtually, and demonstrate empathy and kindness in all interactions.
- Essential criteria: Degree (BSc Hons Physiotherapy or equivalent), Current HCPC registered Physiotherapist, Experience working in NHS, At least 2 years postgraduate physiotherapy experience, Experience of Band 5-6 MSK outpatient Physiotherapy.
- Desirable criteria: Full or Affiliate member of POGP, Experience working as a Pelvic Health Physiotherapist in a professional setting, Demonstrable AN MSK experience.
- Highly motivated and reliable with the ability to motivate others.
- Excellent time-management and organisational skills.
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
- Demonstrate some digital competencies with a varied number of systems related to healthcare.
- Be proficient in intimate examinations relevant to pelvic health physiotherapy.
- Demonstrable knowledge of assessment and therapeutic interventions within Pelvic Health Physiotherapy.
- Demonstrable knowledge of current relevant guidelines in Pelvic health.
- Evidence of recent professional development, willingness to attend external and internal CPD opportunities, and to share this learning within the Pelvic Health Physiotherapy Team and wider MDT.
- Ability to effectively manage available resources in the pursuit of quality service provision, ensuring a safe environment.
