Fixed term Full Time Specialist Physiotherapist, Pelvic Health Band 6 University Hospitals Dorset based between Poole and Christchurch sites, with some other off-site working, such as supporting mass clinics at Royal Bournemouth. We are pleased to offer the opportunity to support the pelvic health physio team to improve the current long waiter referral to treatment pathway for patients with pelvic floor dysfunction.You will have: Degree (BSc Hons Physiotherapy) or equivalentExperience of applying clinical reasoning skills to a range of all pelvic health case types and if possible, also have some experience with complex and varied pelvic health caseloads.MSK experience and an understanding about onward MSK careWorking knowledge of Badgernet or similar Maternity systems, and familiarity of acute care provision to perinatal inpatients and escalation of AN MSK careExperience of working successfully in partnership with consultants, midwives and other relevant medical practitioners, for example within an MDT or shared pathway and participating in creating innovative solutions for new servicesExperience leading patient groups both in person and virtually Empathy and kindness Interview Date - TBC Main duties of the job You will: Provide evidence-based, specialist care to perinatal, urogynecology, male and colorectal patientsContribute to key aspects of the service, mentoring of Band 5 and students and supporting the wider Pelvic Health Physiotherapy team, including cross-site and off-site workingPromote and deliver a high quality, evidence-based, customer-focused serviceWork within national and local guidelines, including working at off-site clinics You will have an excellent track record of Team working, be able to demonstrate how to find solutions collaboratively and undertake supporting junior staff and students alongside your own CPD and learning profile. Detailed job description and main responsibilities The post holder will take on the project and be directly supervised by the Service Lead. They will contribute in a number of ways including to back fill and release specialist pelvic health physiotherapists, to assist with the co-ordination and delivery of patient education workshops, to support telephone triage and treat processes and to deliver commencement of face to face care and contribute to the associated follow up physiotherapy care. The post holder will also capture data from the 6-month project to represent efficiencies and benefits to patient care.
