At Creative Support, we are seeking a skilled Gardening Volunteer to join our team at Orchard House, a move-on service for adults with mental health needs.

The successful candidate will have a good knowledge of gardening and be able to develop and run sessions for our service users, who are eager to make use of our fantastic garden space.

The garden is a large back garden with plenty of space for growing plants and vegetables, and we are looking for someone who can share their expertise and passion for gardening with our service users.

The role will involve coming up with ideas for gardening sessions, sharing knowledge of how to grow plants and look after the garden space, clearing away at the end of the session, and helping to promote the sessions to service users.

We offer training for the role, a named volunteer supervisor, a monthly newsletter, and a monthly online peer support group to support our volunteers.

Duties:

  • Develop and run gardening sessions for service users
  • Share knowledge of gardening and look after the garden space
  • Clear away at the end of the session
  • Help promote the sessions to service users
