Creative Support is seeking a dedicated and passionate gardening volunteer to join our team at Orchard House. As a gardening volunteer, you will have the opportunity to develop and run gardening sessions for our service users, who are eager to make the most of our beautiful garden space.

Our ideal candidate will have a good knowledge of gardening, particularly in growing and maintaining plants, and be able to share their expertise with our service users. The gardening sessions will take place on a weekly basis, and our service users will be involved in the decision-making process.

In addition to gardening, the volunteer role will also involve fundraising for our gardening project. We welcome your ideas and support in this area.

We offer our volunteers an induction, training for the role, a named volunteer supervisor, a monthly newsletter, and a monthly online peer support group.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and run gardening sessions for our service users
  • Share knowledge of gardening and plant care with our service users
  • Clear away at the end of the session
  • Help promote the sessions to our service users
