Laboratory Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Technician to join our team in Great Yarmouth. As a Laboratory Technician, you will play a crucial role in the management and testing of soil samples, working closely with our Laboratory Manager and other technicians and engineers.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Receiving and processing soil samples, ensuring accurate and timely testing.
- Carrying out sub-sampling and testing in accordance with relevant standards.
- Becoming proficient in basic laboratory testing, including moisture content, PSD sedimentation, and particle density.
- Understanding and adhering to sample handling and storage procedures, in line with ASTM and ISO standards.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A strong foundation in chemistry or geology, with a minimum of A-level standard.
- The ability to quickly learn and adapt to new testing procedures and standards.
- Experience working in a laboratory environment, although this is not essential.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a good command of English.
