Laboratory Technician

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our team at Gardline Limited, a part of the Boskalis group of companies.
About the Role:This is a 6-month fixed-term position, working full-time (37.5 hours a week) in our laboratory in Great Yarmouth. As a Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Receiving and processing soil samples, ensuring accurate logging and testing in accordance with relevant standards.
- Becoming competent in basic laboratory testing, including moisture content, PSD sedimentation, plasticity index, and particle density.
- Understanding the importance of sample handling and storage, adhering to ASTM and ISO standards.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A level standard in Chemistry or Geology or a related subject (desirable).
- The ability to become familiar with testing procedures and standards.
- Experience working in a laboratory environment (desirable).
- A good command of written and spoken English.
