Job Title: Casual Collector - SYNLAB VPG Limited

About the Role:
SYNLAB UK & Ireland is a leading provider of clinical laboratory and medical diagnostic services. We are currently seeking a skilled Sample Collector & Phlebotomist to join our team on an ad hoc basis. As a valued member of our collection team, you will be responsible for collecting hair, blood, and DNA samples from clients across Telford and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide professional sample collection services to clients
• Implement quality management systems to maintain ISO 17025 accreditation
• Ensure safe, healthy, and low-risk environments for collections
• Provide statements of truth at point of collection

Requirements:
• Excellent interpersonal and language skills
• Valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle with business insurance
• Minimum 2 years' experience in phlebotomy (proof of competency may be required)
• Experience in collecting hair and DNA samples (in-house training provided)

Additional Information:
Assignments will generally be within a 2-hour radius of a collector's home address by car. Successful applicants will be paid on a per collection basis only, plus appropriate travel expenses will be covered, including fuel, parking fees, and sample postage. Collections assignments will typically take place at solicitor's offices, local authority offices, or donor homes; PPE will be provided.

Salary and Benefits:
The estimated salary for this role is £25-£30 per collection, depending on location and experience. In addition to a competitive hourly rate, successful applicants will receive comprehensive training and support to ensure success in their role.
