Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist to join our team at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our regional service to patients with Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia (PCD) and our innovative Bronchiectasis Ambulatory Care Service.
Main Responsibilities- Provide clinical and professional leadership to Physiotherapy colleagues.
- Lead, evaluate, and develop clinical practice within the CF team, ensuring compliance with national and local guidelines and frameworks.
- Responsible for the clinical standards, evidence-based practice, and quality metrics.
- Work as an autonomous practitioner to provide specialist therapy assessments, diagnose, and develop individualised treatment programmes based on the patients' needs.
- Be responsible for a clinical caseload.
- Participate in the planning, development, and evaluation of Physiotherapy, holding responsibility for defined projects.
- Ensure the training and development of staff.
- Evidence of managing a team.
- Evidence of managing change.
- Evidence of teaching other professionals.
- HCPC registration.
- Experience of working in CF and BE.
- Demonstrates specialist skills and knowledge in the relevant clinical area.
- Evidence of audit/research.
- Demonstrates good written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills.
This post will sit within the existing Cystic Fibrosis and Bronchiectasis specialist physiotherapy team, which consists of an advanced practitioner physiotherapist, another clinical specialist and band 6 physiotherapists. A degree of flexible and remote working will be encouraged. Car owner driver is essential.
