About the Role

Vallum Associates is seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Consultant to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for helping clients stay ahead of cyber threats through innovative, data-driven security solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct in-depth threat analysis and risk assessments for client systems, identifying vulnerabilities and advising on mitigation strategies.
  • Design and implement proactive security measures that prevent cyber threats and align with clients' business goals.
  • Oversee the deployment and operation of real-time monitoring tools, providing early detection and alerts for emerging threats.
  • Develop and refine incident response plans to prepare clients for a swift and effective response to potential security incidents.
  • Educate clients on the latest security trends, best practices, and technologies, increasing their awareness and resilience to cyber threats.
  • Work closely with clients and internal teams to implement security technologies, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint protection.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Minimum 3–5 years in cybersecurity, with a focus on proactive or preventive security measures.
  • Proficiency in security tools and technologies, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, endpoint protection, and threat intelligence platforms.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex systems and anticipate potential risks.
  • Experience managing multiple client projects simultaneously, with attention to deadlines and detail.

$120,000 - $180,000 per year
