Job Title: Commercial Director - Interim NEC Commercial Manager
Job Summary:
ZipRecruiter is seeking an experienced Commercial Director to lead the end-to-end commercial direction for programmes, including concept, strategy, contract development, and procurement. As an Interim Commercial Manager, you will drive the strategic commercial direction for programmes, develop a strategy and procurement of a design and build contractor for multiple upgrade projects, and major highways and structure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive commercial strategy for programmes, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Lead the procurement process for design and build contractors, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement contract strategies, ensuring optimal commercial outcomes.
- Provide commercial guidance and support to programme teams, ensuring effective commercial management and risk mitigation.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
Requirements:
- Strong commercial management experience, with a background in major public sector projects.
- Proven expertise in capital project and construction procurement, including experience with Professional Services Contract and Engineering & Construction Contract.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex commercial data and develop effective solutions.
