About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Medical Consultant to join our Paediatric Haematology team at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

As a Medical Consultant, you will be responsible for leading a multidisciplinary team and providing expert medical care to children with haemoglobinopathies. Your expertise will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our department and ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in paediatrics, haemoglobinopathies, and clinical leadership. You should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Provide expert medical care to children with haemoglobinopathies
  • Develop and implement clinical guidelines and protocols
  • Contribute to the development of research projects and publications
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve patient outcomes and experiences
Requirements
  • MBChB or equivalent degree
  • Postgraduate qualification or equivalent MRCPCH/MRCP
  • Postgraduate qualification or equivalent FRCPath
  • Relevant clinical experience in Haemoglobinopathy
  • Good team-working skills
