Facilities Assistant

As a Facilities Assistant at Leigh Academies Trust, you will play a vital role in supporting the Estates Team with the care of our academy premises. This includes general maintenance duties, minor repair and refurbishment works, porterage, and other responsibilities. You will work closely with the Facilities Manager to ensure the health and safety and security of our busy academy.
We are looking for a committed and motivated individual who is flexible in their approach to working hours and duties. You may be required to cover the duties of other team members in their absence, occasionally. Applicants should be trustworthy, reliable, hardworking, physically fit, conscientious, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Ideally, you will have good DIY skills, some knowledge of Health & Safety, basic IT skills, and an understanding of safeguarding. We offer fantastic CPD opportunities as an academy and as a wider multi-academy trust, providing support if there are any areas that you may need to be upskilled or trained.

This is a permanent role, and our ideal candidate will be able to work 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 4.30pm - 8.30pm. The salary being offered will be £12,278 per annum (£22,714 full-time equivalent).
