About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the highways development planning process, ensuring alignment with national and local transport policies, infrastructure standards, and sustainable growth objectives.

This is a critical role that requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, exceptional project management capabilities, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Assessing Planning Applications: Ensure compliance with highways and transportation policies, standards, and strategies.
  2. Liaising with Stakeholders: Primary liaison between the highway authority, developers, and local planning authorities.
  3. Reviewing Design Proposals: Technical leadership to review and approve detailed design proposals for highway infrastructure.
  4. Implementing Policies and Strategies: Contribution to the development and implementation of local transport policies and strategies.
  5. Leadership and Mentorship: Guidance, training, and mentorship to junior team members.
