We are seeking a skilled Behaviour Support Assistant to join our team at Veritas Education Recruitment. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a special school setting in Doncaster, supporting students with SEMH needs.

About the Role:

This Behaviour Support Assistant role involves providing emotional and social support to students, helping them to manage their emotions and develop positive relationships with others. You will work closely with teachers to implement behaviour management strategies and interventions, as well as assist in the development and implementation of individualised behaviour support plans.

Key Responsibilities:

- Providing emotional and social support to students, helping them to manage their emotions and build positive relationships with others
- Working closely with teachers to develop and implement individualised behaviour support plans
- Implementing behaviour management strategies and interventions to support students with SEMH challenges

Requirements:

- Experience working with children with challenging behaviour or additional needs
- Knowledge of behaviour management techniques and strategies (e.g. Team Teach)
- Ability to stay calm and composed in challenging situations, using positive reinforcement
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
