Job Title: BSL Female Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic support worker to join our team at New Prospects, a leading organization supporting people with learning disabilities for over 25 years.

The successful candidate will work closely with a young lady who is profoundly deaf, providing support with daily living skills, including personal care, housework, meal preparation, and accessing the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support with daily living skills, including personal care, housework, and meal preparation
  • Assist with accessing the community and engaging in activities
  • Manage medication and maintain a safe and healthy environment
  • Work collaboratively with the individual and other support staff to promote independence and well-being

Requirements:

  • Qualification in British Sign Language (BSL) or experience working with deaf individuals
  • Ability to work flexibly and provide support on a variety of shifts
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to providing high-quality support and promoting the well-being of individuals with learning disabilities
