Senior Power Electronics Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Power Electronics Engineer to join our team at Anson McCade. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing advanced power systems, including AC & DC power generation and distribution systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of high-power electronics systems, ensuring high precision and reliability in critical applications.
  • Develop and specify advanced power supplies and converters that meet rigorous standards.
  • Manage Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) management and verification, working with EMC test houses and supporting installations.
  • Specify and integrate bespoke procured hardware, ensuring it meets project requirements and performance standards.
  • Verify and test designs using simulation, analysis, and testing, and collaborate with related engineering disciplines.
  • Generate detailed design documentation and technical reports, ensuring all project aspects are clearly communicated.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in electronic design for volume production.
  • Familiarity with Electrical Safety Standards and EMC qualifications, particularly in high-safety environments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and experience in design proving, integration, and defect resolution.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
