SEND Support Worker Wanted

About the Job:

We are seeking a dedicated and caring SEND Support Worker to join our team at a Special School in East & South Kent.

The Job Summary:

This role involves supporting students with various additional needs, including SEMH, ASD, SLD, and PMLD, in achieving their academic and personal goals. You will work closely with class teachers to develop and implement IEPs and support students in maintaining positive behaviour and academic progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher to develop and implement IEPs for pupils with SEND.
  • Support pupils with SEMH, ASD, SLD, and PMLD in achieving their academic and personal goals.
  • Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and provide feedback to parents/carers and other professionals.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with pupils, parents/carers, and other staff members.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum NVQ 2 or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience working with children with SEND within an educational setting or similar.
  • Child and Adult DBS check on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
