Support and Guidance Educator

Swalcliffe Park School seeks a dedicated Support and Guidance Educator to provide specialist support to secondary-aged students with Autism Spectrum needs.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting students' academic and personal growth, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
About UsWe are a specialist residential education and care provider for approximately 70 secondary-aged boys (10-19 years old), offering excellent working conditions in a beautiful environment.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will work collaboratively with colleagues to provide targeted support to students in a range of learning situations, ensuring seamless transitions between school and community settings.
Key Responsibilities:- Providing individualized support to students with homework and assignments
- Assisting students with access arrangements for exams and revision strategies
- Supporting students in various learning activities to promote independence and social inclusion
- Fulfilling key worker responsibilities and participating in the duty and cover rota
- Ensuring Health and Safety compliance and implementing safeguarding policies
- A minimum of GCSE Level education, including Mathematics and English at Grade 4 (formerly C) or above or equivalent
- An interest and experience of working with children, young people, and/or adults with Autism and associated language/communication difficulties
- Experience of working within an educational setting or youth and community work environment
- Proficiency in IT skills, including database, word processing, PowerPoint, and email
- A full driving licence and eligibility to drive a school vehicle
£26,000 - £31,000 per annum, depending on experience
