Temporary Part-Time Opportunity
EKC Group is seeking a skilled Communication Support Practitioner to join Broadstairs College on a temporary part-time basis. As a Communication Support Practitioner, your role will be to provide British Sign Language signing and learning support to students on programs of study and/or courses.
Key Responsibilities- Provide BSL signing support to individuals and/or groups of learners with a hearing impairment
- Use a range of support strategies to select and adapt tasks, resources, and learning activities
- Work in conjunction with Inclusive Learning tutors and teaching staff to undertake EHCP In-Year Reviews for students with hearing impairment
- Attend and support communication in Annual Reviews
- Qualified to minimal level 3 British Sign Language
- Excellent understanding of the role and impact of additional learning support
- Ability to nurture positive attitudes to learning and contribute to the development of teaching and learning at EKC Group
- Experience in working with students with specific medical/feeding needs (full training will be given)
