About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Practitioner to join our team at the East Kent Colleges Group. As a key member of our support team, you will play a vital role in ensuring students with high levels of need receive the support they require to succeed in their academic pursuits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized support to students with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities, including Autistic Spectrum Condition, Social, Emotional and Mental health needs, Global learning delay, Language & Communication, Sensory, Physical needs
  • Assist students with personal care, mobility, and specific medical/feeding needs
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement personalized learning plans
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and motivation

About You

We are looking for an individual with strong communication skills, an understanding of behaviour management, and a passion for inspiring students to be active in learning. Previous experience working with students with high needs is desirable, but full training will be provided.
