We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sustainability Specialist to join our team at Aldi UK. As a key member of our sustainability team, you will play a critical role in supporting our ambitious Net-Zero goals.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development and implementation of our Scope 3 carbon reduction strategy, working closely with internal stakeholders and external consultants.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize opportunities for carbon reduction across our supply chain, product groups, and real estate operations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers, service providers, and consultants to drive climate action and carbon reduction.
- Manage and analyze complex data sets related to greenhouse gas emissions, including Scope 3 analysis, accounting, and reporting.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders, using data visualization and communication skills to drive business decisions.
- Work closely with our international team to develop and implement global sustainability initiatives.
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines, prioritizing tasks and resources to meet business objectives.
- Proven experience in carbon accounting, sustainability, and climate change mitigation.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards, such as the GHG Protocol Corporate Standard and SBTi Flag Guidance.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of personal organization and time management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
- A competitive salary of £36,080 rising to £42,135.
