Job OverviewWe are currently seeking an experienced Inventory Management Specialist to join our client's team in Nottinghamshire. As a key member of the stores and inventory department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the warehouse and inventory management systems.
Key Responsibilities- Stock Management and Control: Oversee the entire inventory process, from receiving and storing goods to shipping and delivery. Ensure accurate stock levels and maintain a high level of stock accuracy.
- Inventory Analysis and Reporting: Conduct regular inventory audits and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Provide detailed reports to management on inventory levels, stock movements, and other key metrics.
- Warehouse Operations: Supervise the daily activities of the warehouse team, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. Implement and maintain 5S principles to maintain a safe and organized work environment.
- Supply Chain Coordination: Collaborate with the logistics team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods to customers. Manage relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts to secure the best possible rates.
- Inventory Optimization: Analyze inventory data to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements. Develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory levels, reduce waste, and improve overall efficiency.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 3+ years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or a related field.
- High levels of computer literacy and proficiency in inventory management systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
