Anderselite, a well-established national consultancy business, is seeking an experienced Building Regulations Compliance Specialist to support internal teams in providing building regulations compliance and control advice. Located in Yorkshire, this role will work closely with our external project teams and internal design team to ensure projects are completed in line with current building regulations and legislation.

The successful candidate will have several years of experience in the building control sector, offering their services to a range of clients and projects. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills due to its client-facing nature.

About the Role:
  • Provide building regulations support to our external project teams and internal design team, including Principal Designer.
  • Undertake inspections, site visits, and prepare reports.
  • Offer advice on building control processes, such as notices and notifications.
  • Conduct systematic reviews of designs and inspections to inform the extent of building regulations compliance.
  • Provide advice and training on matters related to the Building Safety Act and secondary legislation affecting building control processes.
  • Liaise with duty-holders and other parties to ensure compliance on projects.
  • Attend client and design team meetings to provide professional advice regarding building control regulations.
  • Chair workshops internally and externally.
  • Offer technical advice to clients, contractors, developers, colleagues, and key stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Built environment degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Membership to CABE, CIOB, or RICS.
  • Relevant academic qualification.
  • Experience inspecting buildings and properties.
  • Excellent knowledge of approved documents, design processes, building regulations, codes, and legislation.
Compensation:

We offer a competitive salary of £65,000-£75,000 per annum, plus benefits package, for the right candidate.
