Job Duties:- Provide support to special needs students in the classroom environment
- Assist the teacher in implementing individual education plans to cater to diverse learning needs
- Help students with personal care needs, including feeding and toileting, to ensure their well-being
- Support students in their social and emotional development, promoting a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere
- Collaborate with the teaching team to create a supportive and engaging learning environment
- Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths to ensure effective communication and numeracy skills
- Relevant experience working with special needs children to demonstrate understanding and empathy
Previous experience in a similar role within an educational setting, showcasing ability to work with diverse student needs
Knowledge and Skills:- Understanding of special educational needs and disabilities, enabling effective support and inclusion
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents, fostering strong relationships
- Strong organisational skills and ability to work as part of a team, ensuring seamless support and collaboration
- First Aid certification to ensure student safety and well-being
- Makaton or other communication training to enhance support and inclusion
- Work in a classroom setting, interacting with students and teachers
- Potential exposure to challenging behaviours, requiring patience and understanding
- Regular interaction with special needs students, promoting empathy and support

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
