Ackerman Pierce Ltd is seeking a qualified and experienced Social Worker to join its Children in Care team. The successful candidate will be responsible for working with children and young people up to the age of 18 who are in care, ensuring their experiences are positive and preparing them for transition into leaving care or return home to family.
Job Description:The Children in Care team receives cases in proceedings after the first hearing, visits children and young people in placement, develops permanency plans, undertakes life-story work, and supports children to return home to birth family. Key responsibilities include assessing, monitoring, and reviewing social care needs, gathering information, making full assessments of risks, protection, and social care needs, and devising individual care plans based on needs and risks.
Requirements:To be successful in this role, candidates will need to possess excellent communication skills, the ability to build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues, and a commitment to delivering high-quality services. Experience working within the child care system and a thorough understanding of relevant legislation and policies are also essential.
Benefits:Ackerman Pierce Ltd offers a very competitive pay rate, free onsite parking, and opportunities for role progression and training. This role offers a salary of £36,101 - £48,622 per annum, with an estimated salary of approximately £42,360 per annum.
