About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing emotional, social, and practical support to families, working in partnership with health, education, and social care professionals. They will have a genuine interest in building supportive relationships and helping people through difficult times, with a strong understanding of the processes of grief, loss, and change.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering high-quality family support services to families where a child or young person has a life-threatening or terminal illness.
  • Working in partnership with health, education, and social care professionals to provide emotional, social, and practical support to families.
  • Building supportive relationships with families and helping them through difficult times.

Requirements

  • A warm, inclusive approach to achieving goals quickly and correctly.
  • Practiced in child protection, information sharing, and data protection.
  • PRACTICAL AND PEOPLE-ORIENTED, with a strong ability to work at a fast pace while maintaining accuracy and being a confident user of IT.
  • A persuasive and open communicator, with a strong ability to work collaboratively with your team and volunteers to ensure delivery of a high-quality service.
