iO Associates - UK/EU is seeking a highly skilled Power BI Developer to join our team on a contract basis. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading data migration projects, designing and optimizing Power BI reports, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure seamless data migration and reporting.

  • Data Migration: Lead data migration projects using ETL tools and Power Query to ensure data integrity and consistency, and map source models to Power BI datasets.
  • Power BI Development: Design and optimize Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models, creating advanced insights using DAX.
  • Collaboration: Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure seamless data migration and reporting, providing training and support for users.
  • Testing & Validation: Test and troubleshoot migrated data, ensuring accuracy and resolving issues.
  • Documentation: Document processes, data models, and work flows, maintaining up-to-date records of Power BI solutions.

Requirements:

  • Power BI: Advanced in report/dashboard development, DAX, and Power Query for data transformation.
  • Data Migration & Integration: Experience with ETL tools (e.g., SSIS, Azure Data Factory) and migrating data from sources like SQL Server, Excel, APIs, and cloud databases into Power BI.
  • SQL: Expertise in querying, troubleshooting, and optimizing database queries.
  • Azure: Familiarity with Azure SQL, Azure Data Lake, and Power BI Service.
  • Data Warehousing: Experience with large datasets in on-premise and cloud environments.
  • Must have migration experience and have worked within the Financial Industry.

About the Role:

  • This is a contract position with a duration of 6 months.
  • The role will be based in Bristol, with a hybrid model of 2-3 days per week in the office.
  • The day rate for this position is £600 Inside IR35.
