About the Role:

Allegiance Technology Ltd is on the lookout for a skilled Power BI Solutions Architect to join our dynamic team on a contract basis. This remote position offers the flexibility to work from home while playing a key role in delivering data-driven insights and analytics solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Power BI Development:
    • Create and design engaging and insightful Power BI dashboards and reports.
    • Leverage data modeling, DAX, and Power Query to convert data into actionable insights.
    • Enhance report performance and ensure effective data loading processes.
  • Data Integration and Management:
    • Integrate data from diverse sources including SQL databases, cloud platforms, and Excel.
    • Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across all Power BI reports.
    • Effectively manage Power BI datasets, workspaces, and dataflows.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
    • Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and other developers to deliver comprehensive BI solutions.
    • Provide training and support to end-users to maximize the utilization of Power BI reports.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Stay abreast of the latest Power BI features and best practices.
    • Identify opportunities to enhance existing Power BI solutions for improved performance and user experience.
    • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of internal Power BI standards and guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Power BI Developer or in a similar capacity.
  • Strong expertise in Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, Power Query, and Power BI Service.
  • Proficient in SQL and database design.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Must be based in England and able to work remotely.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with advanced Power BI features such as Row-Level Security (RLS), embedding Power BI in applications, and Power BI REST API.
  • Familiarity with Azure services such as Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, and Azure SQL Database.
  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
