Exciting Opportunity: Lead Structural Engineer

Location: Chelmsford

Contract Type: Permanent

The Lead Structural Engineer will oversee the evaluation and design of bridge and retaining wall systems utilizing reinforced concrete and steel materials. This position will provide technical guidance and leadership within the engineering team, ensuring that high-quality standards are upheld while fostering the development of junior engineers. This role is vital for the successful execution of structural projects.

  • Develop, design, plan, and schedule highway structure projects and services
  • Offer project leadership and mentor junior engineers
  • Assist in tracking project timelines and financial oversight
  • Review team members' outputs and support the team leader
  • Ensure adherence to structural design protocols, standards, and safety regulations

Requirements:

  • Proficiency with Eurocodes, DMRB, and contemporary standards
  • Familiarity with contract specifications and MCHW
  • Comprehension of Highway Legislation and best practices
  • Experience in financial governance and Health & Safety regulations
