About the Role

At STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES, we're seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth and strengthen existing client relationships in the greater North East region.

This exciting opportunity involves collaborating with our Engineering, Pre-construction, and Operations teams to develop innovative solutions that tackle complex construction challenges and meet the needs of our valued customers.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Leading sales functions on high-value projects and developing client relationships to meet financial goals.
  • Creating engaging presentations to showcase our Strengthening solutions to potential clients.
  • Participating in web-based meetings, in-person meetings, emails, and phone calls with current, assigned, and potential clients as needed.
  • Following up on project and client leads provided by Marketing and pursuing opportunities.
  • Assisting with drafts of proposals for Strengthening projects and revising as necessary.
  • Coordinating the assembly of bid packages for Strengthening projects.
  • Attending jobsite walks and pre-bid meetings as required.
  • Participating in project review calls and maintaining up-to-date CRM listings for Strengthening projects.
  • Updating the company contact database with new contacts obtained from presentations, meetings, conferences, etc.

Requirements

To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • A bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of previous sales experience building relationships and expanding a client base in the commercial market is required.
  • Strong knowledge of the Boston market, including engineering firms, property management firms, building owners, general contractors, architects, etc., is necessary.
  • Success in meeting and exceeding sales goals/quota utilizing a CRM system is essential.
  • A strong understanding of the process required to promote and implement engineered services and products is required.
  • Candidates must be capable of learning and sharing information on engineered products, their functions, applicability, and standards.
  • Travel is required approximately 50% of the time.
