Property Care Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Handyperson to join our team at Anchor Hanover. As a Handyperson, you will be responsible for carrying out day-to-day minor maintenance and repairs to a high standard, ensuring a comfortable and safe environment for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out routine maintenance tasks, including repairs and replacements of equipment and fixtures.
- Differentiating between minor repairs and when more specialist skills are required, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Ensuring that equipment is used safely, with instructions and health and safety procedures being followed at all times.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a maintenance or repair role, preferably in a care or housing environment.
- A range of practical skills, including maintenance and gardening.
- Understanding of data protection and confidentiality, and the safeguarding of vulnerable adults.
- Health and safety knowledge and experience.

- Well-organized and able to plan workload effectively.
- Strong interpersonal and empathy skills, with a friendly and approachable personality.
- Able to work individually and as part of a team.
- Ability to undertake a wide range of activities, including manual handling and lifting.
- Customer-focused at all times, with a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
