About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Clevedon, North Somerset. As a key member of our Manufacturing Systems Team, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and continually improving safe and lean assembly and test processes for existing and new products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Lean manufacturing processes to optimize production efficiency and quality.
  • Design and optimize manufacturing cell layouts to improve workflow and productivity.
  • Implement and maintain risk assessments and safe systems of work to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Specify and purchase tooling and equipment to support manufacturing operations.
  • Ensure configuration control of operational documentation in compliance with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 regulations.
  • Resolve or support non-conformities impacting the manufacturing process.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Equivalent experience in a similar role.
  • Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering degree or equivalent.
  • Process documentation authoring and writing of procedures and work instructions.
  • Experience in optimizing production processes and providing production support.
  • Problem-solving skills and experience with root cause analysis tools.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Basic CAD skills for layout design and design model interrogation.
  • MRP/ERP system use – SAP.
  • DFM/PFMEA awareness.
  • Experience in implementing change and change management.
  • Risk assessments and understanding of compliance requirements to health and safety, environmental, and quality regulations.
  • Project management experience, including risk, schedule, and cost.
