About the Role

The Leicestershire County Council is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Financial Partner to join their team. As a key member of the Departmental Management Team, the successful candidate will provide strategic financial support to the department of Adults & Communities, Chief Executive's and Public Health.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and improve the provision of financial advice, analysis and information to service departments to support effective strategic decision making and delivering the medium term financial strategy.
  • Provide support, challenge and influence on financial matters and service decisions as a member of the Departmental Management Team.
  • Contribute to the continued improvement of the finance function as a member of the Finance Management team.
  • Support and advise external partnerships/bodies to ensure consistent delivery of joint objectives.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a qualified CCAB or equivalent accountant with experience in working with Senior Managers to advise, influence and deliver sound financial management. You will also need to have strong communication skills, including the ability to present technical financial information to non-financial managers.
