Job Title: Expert Therapeutic Social Work Specialist

Job Type: Full-time

Location: Remote (UK-wide)

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Therapeutic Social Worker to join our team at Child and Family Solutions. As a Specialist Therapeutic Social Worker, you will work with families involved in complex and sometimes intractable private law proceedings, undertaking reports for the Family Court.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with families involved in complex private law proceedings
  • Undertake reports for the Family Court
  • Provide therapeutic support to children and families
  • Develop and implement individualized plans to meet the needs of children and families
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure comprehensive support

Requirements:

  • DIPHE/MA in social work or equivalent
  • Recent relevant experience in working with high conflict complex family cases
  • Knowledge of therapeutic methodologies
  • Enthusiasm and genuine interest in achieving change for clients
  • Enhanced DBS check
  • Full driving license and use of car
  • Excellent use of English, written and spoken
  • Ability and willingness to travel, including some overnights
  • Ability to produce high-level analytical reports using research and case law to make recommendations
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative to a very high standard
  • Anti-discriminatory and ethical approach to working with all clients

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Relevant therapeutic training/qualifications (analytical psychotherapy, systems theory, DBT, @theraplay, play therapy, lifestory work, etc.)
  • Experience of representing children in private family proceedings
  • Experience of direct work with children who may present challenging behavior
  • Knowledge and experience of working with clients with personality disorders and knowledge of how they present
  • Mediation experience, formal or informal
  • Knowledge of other cultures and professional expertise in working with diversity
