Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee. As a Specialist Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality specialist assessment, diagnosis, treatment, discharge planning, and onward referral for patients admitted to the medical wards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist Occupational Therapy assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for patients with complex needs.
  • Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to ensure effective delivery of patient care.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, taking into account patient goals and preferences.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the hospital setting and beyond to ensure seamless care and onward referral.
  • Contribute to the development of the service within your team and support change and development within the wider OT department.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Occupational Therapist with current HCPC registration.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Leadership and mentoring skills, with experience of supervising junior staff.
