About This Role

This Maternal Medicine Specialist Midwife position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment. You will be responsible for providing expert care to women with pre-existing diabetes and gestational diabetes, as well as contributing to the development and implementation of policies and guidelines related to maternity care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the maternal medicine team to provide high-quality care to women with complex medical conditions.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based care pathways for women with pre-existing diabetes and gestational diabetes.
  • Work closely with obstetricians, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Participate in clinical governance and quality assurance activities.
  • Support the development of shared visions for midwifery within the Maternal Medicine Network.
Requirements:
  • NMC Registered Midwife with a degree in midwifery.
  • Experience in teaching and presenting to multidisciplinary forums.
  • Post-registration qualification in Diabetes ENB 928 or equivalent.
  • Recent experience in a similar role.
Benefits and Remuneration

We offer a competitive salary of approximately £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a generous salary, we provide a range of benefits including pension scheme, life insurance, and annual leave.
