Trainer - First Aid and Health & Safety

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Trainer to join our team at St John Ambulance. As a Casual Trainer, you will be responsible for delivering and assessing a variety of First Aid and Health & Safety training courses to our workplace and community training customers.
The main requirement is to train our 1, 2, and 3-day first aid courses, but we are also the country's leading provider of Fire Marshal and IOSH Managing Safely training as well as fast-becoming a major player in mental health and wellbeing courses.
All our trainers deliver the first aid suite and for that we need candidates to have a level 3 assessing and teaching/training qualification (such as CiLD), however we would be interested too in hearing from people wishing to work on casual terms to solely deliver the Managing Safely course for which you would need to be NEBOSH qualified.
Subject to these qualifications, we can teach you the rest, although if you also have experience of training first aid then you would be a great candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and assess First Aid and Health & Safety training courses
- Train our 1, 2, and 3-day first aid courses
- Deliver Fire Marshal and IOSH Managing Safely training
- Work on a casual basis, with flexible hours
Requirements
- Level 3 assessing and teaching/training qualification (such as CiLD)
- NEBOSH qualification for Managing Safely course
- Experience of training first aid (desirable)
