Commercial Insurance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Insurance Specialist to join our team at The Recruiter Ltd. As a key member of our insurance team, you will be responsible for underwriting risks and developing profitable broker relationships.
Key Responsibilities- Underwrite risks under delegated binding authority with A-rated security
- Comply with FCA regulations and maintain up-to-date knowledge of products and processes
- Develop self to maximize personal contribution to the role and adhere to agreed internal/external underwriting authorities
- Demonstrate business values through appropriate behaviors and identify potential financial and reputational risk to the business
- Work within binding authorities issued by insurers and maintain a proactive approach to developing profitable broker relationships
- Meet individual sales targets and contribute to team sales targets within agreed service levels
- Develop profitable broker relationships and deal with incoming enquiries from brokers, insurers, and other third parties in a professional and timely manner
- Identify cross-business opportunities and work collaboratively with the team to achieve business objectives
- Minimum three years liability experience, preferably with an insurance company background, but broker experience considered
- Proven track record of working to and achieving individual targets
- Proactive approach to developing profitable broker relationships and proficient in MS Office
- High-level interpersonal skills, ability to build successful business relationships, and communication skills to communicate with various levels of knowledge
- Planning, organizational, and time management skills, basic numeracy, and technical expertise
- Subject knowledge and understanding, competitive, works under pressure, good telephone manner, initiative, self-motivation, reliable, organized, problem-solving, drive, and customer service
- Relevant insurance qualifications an advantage
- Commercial Combined insurance and Property Owners knowledge
