Job Description:

We are seeking a Cover Supervisor to support in a Catholic school in Rochdale. The school is graded Outstanding by Ofsted and is looking for a Cover Supervisor to start ASAP.

Job Role:

You will be responsible for teaching Key stage 3 and Key stage 4 pupils, helping pupils with a wide range of needs in the classroom, keeping pupils motivated to stay on task with any preset exercises that the teacher has set, providing any material or tools students need, showing pupils the right steps to complete a task, and working across different curriculum areas including different subject areas.

Requirements:

Previous experience as a teaching assistant in a secondary school, previous experience working with pupils with similar ages, and any relevant qualifications – Level 2/3 in education or support in schools, Degree, Masters etc.

About the Role:

The desired Cover Supervisor will have a degree or equivalent education, a willingness to learn, a natural leader and someone with the confidence to lead a lesson in the absence of the class teacher, and a passion for education and providing the highest possible level of support to young people.
