About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Coordinator to join our Referral Support Service at Humber and North Yorkshire Integrated Care Board (857). The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our team, ensuring a smooth referral process for patients, and delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide team leadership and support to Referral Administrators, handling queries and issues effectively.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, passing on relevant information to team members, and escalating issues to senior colleagues when necessary.
  • Administer referrals received through the Gateway referral software, ensuring they meet ICB pathway referral criteria.
  • Communicate with GPs, notifying them of additional data required or reasons for return of referral.
  • Support the induction and training of new team members and train other colleagues on work systems as required.
Requirements
  • Clear communicator with excellent writing, data entry, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a busy working environment and multitask.
  • Effective team working and ability to maintain concentration and manage frequent interruptions.
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent Diploma level qualification in a relevant subject, or significant equivalent previous proven experience.
  • In-depth understanding of administrative systems and processes.
  • Demonstrable experience in dealing with the public and sensitive and confidential information.
  • Intermediate knowledge of IT systems and software programmes such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.

Humber and North Yorkshire Integrated Care Board (857) is responsible for planning and arranging the provision of NHS services to meet the diverse health needs of a population of over 1.5 million people. Our area reaches over 1,500 square miles and includes the cities of Hull and York and the large rural areas across East Yorkshire, North Yorkshire, and Northern Lincolnshire.
