We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Specialist Safeguarding Practitioner for Children and Adults to join our Corporate Nursing Safeguarding Team at University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert support and advice to practitioners within the Trust who are dealing with cases of actual or suspected abuse of children and adults.
- Provide safeguarding supervision to staff in line with the Trust safeguarding supervision policy.
- Actively participate in the delivery of the safeguarding training strategy and ongoing development of safeguarding children and adults training.
- Participate in the ongoing development of collaborative working in relation to safeguarding children and adults with other agencies.
- Contribute to ensuring that the Trust meets its statutory responsibilities in relation to Section 11 of The Children Act 2004, Care Act 2014, Mental Health Act 2003 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
The post holder will work closely with the Named Professionals to deliver the Trust's statutory requirements and safeguarding agenda. The team works across the three main hospital sites, providing a range of services including emergency departments, critical care units, and consultant-led services.
