Job Description

As a Child and Family Support Specialist with HCRG Workforce Solutions, you will be responsible for providing support to children and young people with disabilities in Barrow in Furness, Westmorland. Your duties will include case holding, completing Child in Need Visits, reviewing care plans, and conducting Child and Family Assessments. You will also be involved in safeguarding responsibilities, S47 enquiries, and Child Protection planning. In addition, you will work alongside other professionals to provide a comprehensive support service to children and families. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Case holding and support of children and young people with disabilities
• Completing Child in Need Visits and reviewing care plans
• Conducting Child and Family Assessments
• Safeguarding responsibilities, including S47 enquiries and Child Protection planning
• Working alongside other professionals to provide a comprehensive support service
• Timely case recording and reporting

Requirements

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Experience working with children and families
• Knowledge of child protection procedures and safeguarding policies
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
