About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Water Industry Technical Lead to join our team at AECOM. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the technical direction, quality, and innovation of our water projects across the UK & Ireland.

As a key member of our Water UK&I team, you will be responsible for driving technical excellence and mentoring a team of skilled engineers in collaboration with our global Water Technical Practice Group. You will have the opportunity to advance our digital transformation efforts, lead on complex high-impact projects, and contribute to the development of innovative solutions for our clients.

About the Job

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading Technical Excellence: Act as the focal point for technical performance in Process Engineering, setting standards and ensuring best practices are shared across teams.
  • Supporting Project Resourcing and Development: Collaborate with Operational Directors to align resources on projects, manage succession planning, and support hiring. Identify training needs and ensure technical career development plans are identified for team members.
  • Ensuring Quality Delivery: Provide technical oversight on complex projects through engineering reviews (HAZOP, SWIFT, ALM), maintaining AECOM's high standards. Set and manage quality standards and templates to ensure consistent delivery across all water projects.
About the Salary

The estimated salary for this role is £120,000 - £150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
