About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Insurance Team Lead to join our team at MCS Group. As a key member of our Commercial team, you will be responsible for leading a team of commercial brokers and driving business growth through new business and business development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Manage a team of commercial brokers, providing guidance, mentoring, and identifying training needs to ensure the team's success.
  • Operational Management: Deal with operational issues within the commercial insurance team, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to FCA regulations within the commercial team, maintaining the highest standards of compliance.
  • Business Growth: Identify areas for business growth and manage key commercial accounts to drive revenue growth.
  • Customer Engagement: Provide expert advice to new and existing customers regarding their insurance needs, ensuring exceptional customer service.
  • Business Development: Assist the commercial team in achieving sales targets by helping to retain existing clients and identify new business opportunities.

Requirements

  • Experience: 4+ years of experience in a commercial role within the insurance industry.
  • Team Management: Team management or supervisory experience within insurance is highly desirable.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to drive business growth and decision-making.
  • Relationship Building: Ability to build and maintain strong business relationships with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of Open GI insurance software or similar is desirable but not essential.
