Job Title: Family Safeguarding Professional
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Family Safeguarding Professional to join our team in Luton. In this role, you will be responsible for working full-time in Luton, conducting thorough assessments of need and risk for children and families, leading multi-agency approaches to prevent and address child protection issues, and undertaking statutory duties under The Children Act.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of need and risk for children and families using the Department of Education and Luton's support document.
- Develop and implement effective strategies to address child protection issues and children in need.
- Collaborate with internal and external agencies to ensure effective communication and coordination.
- Manage accurate case files in the council's social work database, Liquid Logic.
- Provide expert witness statements for Court and be accountable for internal and external agencies.
- Pursue Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and progression through regular check-ins and supervisions.
Requirements:
- A Social Work Qualification or equivalent.
- Continual professional development.
- Social Work England registration.
Estimated Salary: £41,799 per annum.
